I am a CELTA-certified English teacher with over four years of experience and a Master’s degree in American Studies. My two biggest achievements are surviving a year-long trip from Poland to Australia by land and sea in late 2017 and early 2018, and founding Language Coop Reykjavík in September 2022. Throughout half of my teaching career I was involved with the Talkersi language school in Gdynia, where I was one of the go-to English Trainers for business clients and those working in the IT industry. I have also worked as a tutor for a number of students of various ages and nationalities, including children in Vietnam and Cambodia.
My students have usually described me as an open-minded, patient and kind person. With my help, you can be sure to become a proficient and confident English speaker within a matter of months (depending on your initial skill level). I will not bother you with needless and excessive theory. “All killer, no filler” is what I’m all about!

Hi, my name is Samantha, but everybody calls me Sam 🙂 I graduated from Oxford University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Classical Archaeology. After working in a school in England for a while, I decided to move to Iceland to pursue a Master’s Degree. I am a native English speaker, currently based in Reykjavik and learning Polish and Icelandic… so I completely understand the struggles (and joys!) of learning a new language. I am a big people person, and I think learning is, and should be, fun so I look forward to seeing you in class!

Hi! My name is Martyna. I'm a nomad by nature and that's how I found myself in Iceland eight years ago. My restless soul carries me around the world to different countries. I rely on language and communication - I never forget to pack these two things in my suitcase and take them with me on any trip.
My love for languages started as early as school with English, through studies in Poland with Japanese, and ended up studying both Japanese and Korean at the University of Iceland. Any language can be learned, even if it seems impossible at first 🙂 Come, and you will see how the world is open to you, if only you want to talk to it.

I started my adventure with teaching English many years ago. I graduated English Philology at the University of Wrocław. I have worked at many language schools as a teacher and at many conferences and business meetings as a consecutive and simultaneous interpreter.
I lived in the UK for six years, where I honed my language skills.
I'm a nerd, in love with the universe, and everything connected to astrophysics and sci-fi. I'm also actively pursuing his musical career.

They call me Paula, though my real name is Paulina. I am passionate about many things, especially about languages. I started teaching English 2015 as a volunteer in Armenia and I’ve been doing it ever since. I have taught English in Chile and Poland, among other places. I have a TESOL certificate, which I received while living in Edinburgh in 2018.
I studied cognitive science, but became a full-time traveler when I decided not to pursue a PhD. I love scientific trivia about learning and memorization (not just English vocabulary). The fact that I like brains doesn't make me a zombie at all. I recently heard "Paula! Thank you! I finally didn't feel like a fifth wheel during the trip, and I was able to participate in conversations during my vacation for the first time in my life!" after 4 months of cooperation. So, if you want to see what we can achieve together, sign up for a lesson with me!

I'm from Belarus, and I'm currently based in Poland. I've been teaching English for 7 years, both individually and in groups. I have worked with major companies such as the Olvi Group and Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide, helping people of different professions to integrate English into their daily work. I also lived in France and Hungary where I studied and acquired language skills. I'm also a full-time mother of two boys 🙂 Providing online classes at Language Coop Reykjavik brings me a lot of happy moments, especially my students share their lives and passions during our chats. This feedback brings me great feeling of joy and desire to continue doing what I do. See you at the lesson!
